    ANTIQUE CAST IRON INK STAMP / PAPERWEIGHT
    I believe the plate on top is made of brass and reads:
    PRESENTED BY
    THE WASHINGTON LIFE INSURANCE CO. OF NEW YORK.
    Inscribed on bottom of plate at center of embossed design:
    JOHN BECKER
    BOSTON
    (John Becker was an engraver during late 1800's / early 1900's.)
    Knob on top has a W on it.  It appears to be slightly bent.
    Wear consistent with age including surface markings, scratches and surface residue.
    I have made no attempt to clean to maintain current condition.
