    Description

For sale is a vintage sterling silver trowel. It was given as a souvenir to the people that witnessed the laying of the corner stone of the Equitable Building in New York City April 29, 1914 by the then mayor,Honorable John Perry Mitchell. The item measures 6 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches and the silver hallmarks are on the back. The only other one I have seen is in the NY Historical Society Museum. This little beauty would make a great addition to that special collector.
