Up for sale is a 1:38 scale (about 6.5 inches long bumper to bumper) 1926 Mack Delivery Truck created by the ERTL company in 1989 as an advertising "vehicle" for THE HOME SAVINGS & LOAN CO located in Youngstown, Ohio.
The Home Savings and Loan Company is headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio. It was founded in 1889 so this vehicle represented its 100th anniversary of existence.  Home Savings has always maintained a commitment to developing long-standing relationships with local residents and businesses. One of Home Savings' greatest strengths continues to be its level of community involvement, evidenced by its strong presence in a variety of service organizations, charitable causes and public efforts. Home Savings employees are encouraged to become active members of civic groups, economic development programs, educational projects and urban revitalization efforts.
The truck is in like new condition with no chips or stains. It has been displayed on a yearly rotational basis but has never been played with. Not only does it advertise a bank, IT IS A BANK!  Note the coin slot in the top of the truck and the locking plastic key on the underside. I am not sure this works as I have never used it as a bank and have never opened it.
These Youngstown banks are becoming hard to find, especially with the box . . . the box is also in nice, solid, shape with no marks or stains. The box still has an ERTL stock number tag affixed!
It is made of die-cast metal and is an adult collectible; recommend for ages 8 and over.
