Since this item is brand new/sealed, the seller disclaims any responsibility for the quality of play or any other problem associated with this piece once the seal is broken.
In our professional opinion based on many years of experience, the tape should not be played until a simple piece of adhesive tape has been affixed to the bottom portion of the two mended tape ends underneath the silver foil as a protective measure.
