    Description

    LIVE STEAM 3/8 X 32 FUSIBLE PLUG & BOILER BUSHING  [CUSTOM PART]
    The bushing diameter is 5/8".  The bushing collar diameter is 3/4"
    Fusible Plugs are thermally operated non-reclosing pressure relief devices to function by the yielding or melting of the fusible alloy.
    These are constructed of brass materials with a 1.5% inner core which will melt at 296
    °
    C or 568° F.  They protect boilers from low
    water conditions while mounted on the boiler crown sheet.
    Once the plug's inner core melts, it has served its "one time" purpose to
    protect your boiler.
    It will have to be replaced once it is used.
    When a fusible plug melts, it extinguishes the fire and prevents further
    thermal damage to the boiler materials, thus saving your boiler and tubes.
