Description
Up for auction is a RARE!! 1984 Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report. Older Berkshire reports like this one are difficult to locate & don't seem to come up for sale very often. These reports are best known for legendary investor & Berkshire Hathaway'sChairman & CEO Warren Buffett's annual letter to shareholders. His letters touch on a wide variety of topics that are pertinent to the investing community, participants in high finance, law, accounting and politics just to name a few. For those that are familiar with or interested in Berkshire's history with Mr. Buffett and Vice-Chairman Charlie Munger running the company, these reports provide an interesting trip down memory lane. Enjoy!!
Berkshire Hathaway's 1984 Annual Report is very difficult to locate in decent condition or better because of its age & the much much much smaller shareholder base that Berkshire had back at this time. This copy has modest wear on the front and back covers as you can see in the detailed images. As you can see in the images, a previous owner wrote her name "
Mary
Legy" on the front cover. The back also exhibits modest wear as shown in the images. There is a modest stain on the reverse that does not bleed into the interior pages. Its somewhat difficult to see as it blends in well with the cover. Other than these flaws, the report is in excellent shape given its age. the covers and interior pages still have a "crisp" feel to them as opposed to a "worn" feel to them. The binding is tight and the staples hold well. There are no creases, tears or missing pages. There is no writing, underlining or other markings on the interior of the report. All in all, a very nice copy of this issue!! It would be difficult & time consuming to find a better copy!!
